FOCUS ON NUTRITION

40% carbohydrates, 30% healthy fat, and 30% healthy and lean protein.  Be sure you’re getting these 3 macronutrients in all of your meals.  Try to eat 3 meals and no more than 5 per day. Eliminate grazing, snacking and eating your kid’s left overs..   

 

LIFT WEIGHTS

No, you will not become Arnold Schwarzenegger – trust me! But if you want to be lean and toned, lay off the high intensity cardio exercise for a while and instead focus on incorporating a strength training routine about 5 times a week.

 

MANAGE YOUR STRESS AND REST 

I can’t stress this enough.  Stress is natural and it’s a natural part of life. It would be unrealistic for me to tell you not to stress but instead, figure out a way to manage it more effectively so that you can get the rest you need every night. Hire a therapist, go for a walk, write in a journal…
