Honestly, I used to over think everything.  From how much protein I need to be eating to how to freaken cook oatmeal!

I used to hate the thought of dirtying pots and pans or overcooking the oatmeal and then having the water spill over.  

And also, the thought of using microwaves – yes, I know that microwaves aren’t that good for you but then what was I supposed to do?  Use the stove??? dun, dun, dun! 

Because of my over thinking I simply didn’t eat oatmeal.  Can you relate?  Does any of that mental chatter/ noise ever go on in YOUR head?  

Well, this is why I wanted to share with you that making oatmeal is super easy AND you don’t have to dirty any extra dishes or use the microwave.

And even better… oatmeal is something you can even keep in your work office or cubicle and simply eat throughout the day.  I’ve been known to eat my oatmeal sweet and savory.  How? easy!

To make the oatmeal savory I usually use less water and then once it’s done, I’ll pour some fresh salsa over it and have a side of egg whites and avocado, for example. 

To make it sweet, well, that’s easy.  First, I always add cinnamon – it naturally sweetens everything up without the added calories and sugar.  Then I top with some fresh berries or even bananas and voila.  Sprinkle some chia seeds on top and BOOM.  There you go. 

Now go watch the video so you can start eating oatmeal for breakfast instead of the bagels, pastries or high sugar and fat, fancy (and expensive) coffee drinks. 🙂
