Fueling our body with the right nutrients first thing in the morning is crucial. One of those nutrients is protein. Kicking off your day with the right amount of protein will help set your metabolism on fat burning mode. So ditch the carb laden bagels and start your day with some protein. My healthy orange julius protein smoothie recipe has just the right mix of it all without the Dairy Queen Orange Julius guilt!
On to the recipe:
- fresh juice of 3 oranges
- 1 cup of ice
- 1/2 cup of full fat or fat free Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop protein powder (I used this one)
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth
- Makes 2 servings
- Enjoy immediately
