1. PRIORITIES

First, you need to be clear on what they are.  Then, you need to do things every single day that are in alignment with your priorities. For example, if my health and wellbeing are my number one priority then every single day I am going to make my best effort to eat healthy, move my body, de-stress and find joy and happiness in anything that I do. And the reason why my health and wellbeing are my #1 priortiy is because I want to live a long, happy, and high quality of life. I want to be my children’s and husband’s side for as long as I can.  And I don’t just want to watch from the sidelines… I want to be right there with them in the game!

What are your priorities? Is it your family?  Is it your health?  Is it your relationship with God (whoever or whatever that is to you)? Is it your career?  It doesn’t matter if anyone else agrees.  It only matters if YOU agree and if you are being true to yourself and know that in your heart you’re doing the right thing.

2. PLANNING

Now that you know your priorities you need to plan on how you will make it happen.  The method I love to use is called reverse engineering.  So for example – imagine and visualize what you want your life to look like 1 year from today, 5 years from today, 10 years from today and even 25 years from today.  How old will your kids be?  What do you want to be doing and saying about you, and your life?  Now, what do you have to do to get there?  What is one thing you can do today to help you move forward?  Unless you plan for things, you won’t be able to make it happen.  Sure, you might not score a touchdown right away but as long as you keep moving the ball forward, you’ll be on the right track. 

So start planning your future and make it happen every single day in the present moment.  Take daily, consistent, relentless ACTION.

3. PREPARATION

The true definition of LUCK = when preparation and opportunity meet. So, always be prepared and constantly be preparing yourself for the next move.  And if you’ve done your planning then you’ll always know what the next move is.  Bottom line is everyday is game day… and you’re always preparing yourself for the NEXT right move.  Forget about the past and just take the lesson that it taught you.  Don’t dwell, move on and get ready for what’s next.
